Joseph Wadsworth’s family moves to Mountain Green, finds Indians “troublesome,” sometimes driving off cattle and horses

In the fall of 1857, we [Joseph Wadsworth and Abigail Higley] moved to Mountain Green, where I bought a piece of land and built a house. We lived in peace most of the time, but the Indians were some times troublesome, and would drive off our cattle and horses.
