New pages: Interactions with Settlers, Language

Various documents have been uploaded over the past week, along with some formatting tasks.

See the new Stories of Interactions with Settlers and Language pages.

Photographs are sorted by individual.

Another new page, Weber Ute/Cumumba Descriptions, is actively being added to today.

Stories will be continually uploaded as time permits.

Other pages related to the categorization of already-uploaded documents (dates and individuals named, etc.) were also created.

This is still only the very beginning. Much more work remains.

Beginnings

Documents, photos, and other material will be added to this site as time permits.

So far, as of March 11th, the framework of the site’s structure is being built and numerous photographs have been uploaded.

A great deal of material remains to be sorted through.

The hope is that this collection will be useful to researchers and seekers looking for information about this often-ignored group of people, who lived here before and then alongside the Mormon settlements in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, Morgan, and Tooele counties.

A collection of documents, excerpts, and photographs relevant to the so-called Weber Ute people of Northern Utah. Not a complete history — research aid only.
