Rhoda All documentation to Rhoda, the adopted/purchased daughter of Ann Blythe Barker, are sorted here. 1850s-70s?: In this account, Rhoda was a baby when she and her mother were captured by the “Utes who lived around Ogden”; Ann Blythe Barker purchased the child from them. Her birth mother escaped and later tried unsuccessfully to get her baby back. Little Soldier checked in often to see how Rhoda was doing in the Barkers’ care. Rhoda died from tuberculosis as a teenager.
